About

Siddharth Tiwari is a senior at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA). He is driven to discover more about, and develop solutions to, issues in today’s world through research, particularly on human consciousness’s scientific basis/implications and the climate change crisis. As a student researcher at the Pain and Passions Lab at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine, he conducts statistical and computational analyses on the mathematical dynamics of pain relief. Siddharth has published his findings in two academic papers and presented them at two international conferences. Along with three other students, he has also created a startup dedicated to solving issues centering on pollution. Their flagship product, EutroPod, has earned accolades at several business innovation competitions, such as the Conrad Challenge. He aspires to become a neuroscience researcher exploring topics at the intersection of neuroscience and philosophy of mind, such as the “hard problem of consciousness.”
